Idiom Attack Vol 1 Everyday Living (Japanese Edition) by Peter Liptak
English is a fairly difficult language to learn especially for a non-speaker. That being said it is also one of the most spoken languages in the world. Therefore at some point in most people's lives, they will come across an English speaker and it would make the interaction go smoother if the person knew the most commonly used phrases in the English language. This book provides an opportunity for Japanese speakers to be able to practice English through various phrases and exercises.

The book is written in such a way that it distributes idioms and their different uses in different chapters so that the reader can be able to move step by step and get better at using English grammar with every chapter. At the end of every chapter, some different exercises and puzzles help the learner have fun while learning this new language. Learning a new language can be hard but with the right tools, one can finally become fluent in it and be able to add it to their lists of skills and abilities.

Considering some major parts of Japanese grammar are vastly different from the ones in English, I think this book does a good job laying out the details so that the transition from one language to another can be easier. The book also does a good job demonstrating how different idioms can be used in both Japanese and English. It does this by demonstrating how idioms are used in different topics such as the weather and housework. These idioms are written in both English and Japanese.

The author does a good job discussing these different idioms. Even though there are a lot of topics that have not been covered in this book, it still manages to discuss some very important topics and it will act as an important tool to anyone who wants to know more about idioms especially those used to speak American English.

Idioms are an important part of the English language and anyone who wants to get better at it has to learn them at some point. This book is one of the few that provides a clear path on how to proceed when having to learn a new language. It can be confusing when one is in the early stages of learning English but with this book, one can hopefully find it easier to navigate this process.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as I did not find any grammatical mistakes. The book is well written, the author’s points are well put across and the flow is quite nice. I would recommend this book to anyone who is at the basic level of learning the English language. This would be a great addition to the learning process.
