What is the first word that comes to your mind when you hear the word shift? Let me guess, moving to a new place, a slight change in direction, position, or maybe make adjustments to something. Do you observe a pattern here? Yes, sometimes people need to make a shift and adapt to a new environment to understand what they are missing in life.

Do you ever wonder why we choose to sit around and accept our faith and, hope that things will get better? Because we are terrified by the idea of change. We are scared to make ourselves vulnerable, to expose yourselves in the wild to start from the very beginning. But we often don’t realize that the darkest nights are followed by the brightest tomorrow.

When was the last time you had the time to sit and relax with a hot oozing cup of coffee without worrying? Or maybe played your favorite childhood game or called up an old friend randomly to catch up. In this rat race to prove ourselves in front of everybody, we often end up losing ourselves.

From Drift To Shift, is a book filled with different stories that tell us that despite being blessed with wealth success, no one can guarantee you happiness. We get caught up with so many worldly things that we often forget the subtle nuances of joy. Money, success, fame yes all are essential, but is it more valuable than our content our wellbeing? We all know the answer to this one. Life is too short and is full of miracles. You get them when you least expect them. After all, the real obstacles are not around you but within you. So it is you who need to take charge of your own life and follow a path of enlightenment. You may struggle through an infinite amount of obstacles, life-changing event’s and heart-wrenching setbacks but never give up.

Jody B. Miller, has done an amazing job of bringing up the stories of various people who turned their lives around a full circle. They were courageous enough to change their perspective. The specialty of this book is the main points at the end of each chapter. It summarizes the whole book beautifully and makes it stand out from the crowd. It’s a 4 out of 4 stars for me. I would encourage people of all age groups to go through this amazing piece of work.
