Self-help books have never been my forte as I always thought, I am too good to let any book decide my shortcomings and tell me how to work upon it. But after going through How To Be Successful:Think Like A Leader it completely changed my perspective. It’s a well thought and well-written book where successful people from diverse fields share their success mantra. Accompanied by various examples and real stories this book is an absolute eye-opener that nothing is impossible. This book strongly emphasizes on taking deliberate, decisive, determined, and knowledgeable decisions to create your destiny.

Some ethos that has echoed throughout the length and breadth of this book and has quite resonated with me is to be kind but not weak, choosing lasting joy over temporary comfort, and most importantly failure is impossible as long as we do not quit. These may seem very underrated, but they are the very essence of life.

Every success story has its share of ups and downs, struggles, and heartbreaks, but the one thing that every story has in common is strong self-belief, optimism, and a lot of hope. This book answers some of the most frequently asked questions like,- How to respond to failures? How to never give up? What is your excuse? And a lot more. If you’re searching for these answers and hoping for even more, then this book is the perfect match for you! This not only lays out all the major ingredients for success but also defines the various recipes that different individuals used to get the perfect dish.

M. Curtis McCoy, the author himself has suffered a lot. First getting detected with Type-1 diabetes at the age of 2 and then diagnosed with a brain tumor where he had no hope of surviving. But his sheer will power, belief, and constant support from his family helped him to turn out a victor. He now runs one of the most successful prepaid wireless company nationwide. With his hawk-like vision and his talent for seizing opportunities, he created his destiny.

The author has done a beautiful job of writing this book. Its breezy writing style has caught my special attention. This book deserves to be read by all who want to make continuous and conscious efforts to make their lives better. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. With easy writing and articulate editing, it’s worth a big shot!
