Idiom Attack Vol.1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition)by Peter N. Liptak, Matthew Douma, and Jay Douma is an important book, useful for both native and non-native English speakers. It is good for learners and teachers of 'o' levels and primary schools. It has well-structured chapters each starting with a set of Idioms followed by questions, a story, and another set of questions.

Author Peter N. Liptak, having a master's degree and having been involved in other translations is well qualified. He has experience in writing and teaching. These two traits are seen throughout this book.

The book contains a few grammatical as follows: an example on page 2 on about the authors. The sentences are too long. It would have been better if they were shorter to make the reading easy and comprehensible.

Considering the sentence on page 2, "As a poet and teacher of English, his desire to help people around the globe in their struggles himself with the untamed beauty of the English language has led teachings at the universities and the writing of language acquisition books." The pronoun himself does not add any value to the sentence.

What I like most is it's organized structure. Each of the 25 chapters is unique with easy to understand styles. Each chapter deals with a way of style, different times of the day, varying daily chores among others.

For example, chapter 2 details idioms applicable to times of the day. Idioms like the crack of dawn and morning breath use. Each chapter ends with an exercise quiz to help hammer deeper the idioms. A discussion story makes the reading engaging and climaxing questions memorable.

What I dislike most is the title of the book, Idiom Attack sounds like a book that has a story of a war. A better title would be like 'Daily use of Idioms' or 'Idioms for daily living'.

My recommendation to everyone interested in learning simple English language. The native English speaker will add a few more Idioms in his daily communication. Those who speak English as a second or third language will find this book useful totality.
The Chinese speaker is advantaged because the book is directly translated into their language.

I would rate the book 3 out of 4 stars because I expected that it would be a story structured book like a literature book. The book is great and liked it because it can be used as a textbook for teachers to guide them
