How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader is a non-fiction book written by M. Curtis McCoy. The book poses to be a self-help book as many of it's a topic covered universal aspects of life such as Finance, life, spirituality, friends and family. The book started off by the author recounting his encounter with a guy he met, who used derogatory words on him for no serious reason. Further, the author picked a handful of questions he is often asked and also interviewed people who he said, he looked on to as role models the same questions.

He further stated how his mother would take him along with his brother to different business seminars and conferences, where he heard from speakers
like Robert Kiyosaki, Zig Ziglar, John C. Maxwell, Robert Rohm, Gary Chapman, Les Brown. And according to him, they all inspired him from a young age. The author didn't forget to mention how social media, and how it influences a person negatively, and he also gave different concept and his views concerning success.

I was intrigued by his concept of what he feels success is, which I totally agree with. He said, and I quote "Success is about doing something that improves the lives of others and makes you truly happy".

After reading this book, I believe it to be a gem, and I was astonished by the author's zeal to share what he had learned from the past, his humble story and also getting to hear from other successful individuals in the likes of Connie Wyatt, Paul B. Watson, Caujaun Mayo.

Furthermore, the book looked excellent, but one thing wasn't too appealing to me, which were the continuously repeated questions that were asked to the individuals that were interviewed, I understand that it's good to see others point of view in everything because a person's point of view might differ from another, but in books like this, I think it should be a unified concept. The entrepreneurs which were interviewed in the book had different perspectives on things so it partially forbears what concept to really apply as a reader.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as there was nothing I disliked about the book's content. After my thorough reading, I suspect the book to be professionally edited, but I came across just a few significant grammatical errors which were quite apparent on my course of reading. I'd strongly recommend this book to non-fiction lovers and also readers who love reading about what inspires and motivates them. I was personally inspired by the book. One reason why I think the book fits in this category of readers.
