Compelling American conversation . is an English language learning book written, compiled and edited by ERIC H. ROTH and TONI ABERSON with HAL BOGOTCH for intermediate American English language learners. It is an informative English language learning material that goes from basic greetings all the way to how a person learning the English language can relate and interact with native English speakers. The information in this book will not only clear doubts but also remove the fears that people learning the English language have because it is written in a manner that appeals to a learner, a manner that clearly shows that the authors had the learners in mind as they were writing the book.

It has tips that can help learners practice what they are learning. For example there are sections were learners can practice conversations between or amongst themselves. This makes learning language very fun since people are practicing what they are learning before going out to speak with native speakers. The book has practical tips that can help people who want or who are currently learning the English language at intermediate level. It is indeed a great tool that can expand ones vocabulary as it contains new words and their meanings thus making it easy for people to expand their vocabulary.

There are a number of quotations in the book which simply shows that the authors did their research very well as they were writing the book. Quotes are a great part of the book as they are important in conversations and in speaking generally. The book has many other important parts such as proverbs and many more wonderful concepts that if I were to mention, the list would be endless. The book was proofread and edited by the authors themselves with the learners in mind hence there is hardly any grammatical error in the book.

The English in this book is really interesting and I really like the friendly and interactive manner in which the book was written. It is without doubt a good read. The conversational manner cannot be over emphasized.

I am rating this book 4 OUT OF 4. stars because I really enjoyed reading it and I am recommending it to people who are thinking of learning American English, native speakers who want to expand their vocabulary and anyone who just likes reading and learning. The book has a great number of quotes. Therefore I am recommending this book even to people who just want to learn or master more quotations from people like martin Luther king junior and many others. Schools and libraries can make good use of this book as well because it is an informative piece of literature.
