Grace Revealed Finding God's Strength in any crisis, by Frederick Sievert, begins with the author asking the question, are you ready and open to experience and understand God's amazing grace in a deeper, more personal way than you ever have before? Are you in a crisis?

The retired president of New York Life Insurance Company states that his thirty-year career now seems like nothing more than a prologue to his current endeavors and ministry, he profoundly states that nothing in his life has made as big of a difference as living under the grace of God.

During the author's four years in divinity school, he wrote his first book," God Revealed Revisit your past to enrich your future," in which he talks about the crisis that occurred in his own life, however, in his latest book, Grace Revealed, the author writes about the life stories of people who confided in him about crisis and misfortunes that they had experienced in their lives and how the grace of God transformed their lives and helped them to persevere through dire circumstances.

The question, how do we come to realize God's grace is asked and answered-by believing in Christ and his power to heal our lives. The author, Sievert mentions John Wesley's belief that grace affects us through three distinct types of grace that the United Methodist Book of Discipline acknowledges and summarizes as 1. Prevenient grace, 2. Justifying grace and 3. Sanctifying grace. Bible verses are also quoted throughout the book in relation to each story. At the end of each story, the author gives his thoughts on it and does a personal reflection review on how each person reacted to their situation and what they did or tried to do to make it better.

I believe that Grace Revealed, by Frederick J. Sievert deserves a 4 out of 4 rating, it was well edited and I don't dislike anything about this book. What I liked most about this book is the realization that during the time of a person's desperate need of help in whatever their crisis is, that they come to know and become closer to Christ so much that their faith is strengthened and inspired by their circumstances and that they are willing and able to use their experience to help and inspire others.

While I was not able to relate to most of the stories in this book, I can somewhat relate to chapter five; Learning from career-related challenges, because being able to use one's God-given talents and knowledge in such a way that they enjoy doing so while earning financial abundance, for a better quality of life is an honor, bringing glory to God in everything that you do is a monumental success.
