Nobody has been born with knowledge and experience in how to succeed in life, how to manage his path and how to not get hurt by others. We live in a world full of surprises, ups and downs and we learn from every challenge we encounter. These are exactly the concepts that Susanne Birgersdotter narrates about in her book Pivotal Moments: From High School Dropout to Serial Entrepreneur. It is quite a short book, however, it describes greatly the author’s experiences as a woman entrepreneur, her challenges, success and failure, as well as it gives guidance and helpful advice to its readers.

At the beginning of the book, Susanne Birgersdotter provides quite a thorough biographical information starting from her childhood and going through her teenage years. We learn about her family, their relationship with one another and about Susanne’s personality. By talking about her childhood memories, she creates a connection between the reader and her. It immediately becomes more personal and therefore the reader becomes even more interested and involved in her story. Throughout the whole book, the author is entirely honest and open about her thoughts, experiences and feelings which makes the book absolutely a great read.

The most amazing thing in this book is how open the author is about her failures, setbacks and all the dishonesty that she encountered throughout the years. Without a doubt, her life has not been easy, she has learnt from every difficulty that life has put on her path but she has grown stronger every time. Throughout the book, she talks about all the moments that have put a mark on her character both good and bad. These are the pivotal moments that made her the person she is today.

The book is not only an entrepreneurial one, but is also a life coaching tool which personally made me more thoughtful about life, about the relationships between people and the choices we are facing throughout our lives. Thanks to her experience and openness, she gives us valuable advice to not miss opportunities for development, to be more cautious who we trust and to use our skills to the fullest. Also, the advice which I appreciate best was never to be ashamed of failure and to always go forward without looking back.

This book is suitable for entrepreneurs just as much as for all other people looking for motivation and determination. It is more relevant to female readers, however, it is suitable for everyone that needs a bit of encouragement. It is a fascinating read full of personal stories from which every reader could learn a lot. My opinion is that the book was flawless as I did not find anything that I do not like about it.

I felt encouraged and inspired when I put down the book so I am rating it 4 out of 4 stars. The honesty and the motivating style the author has used deserve to be cherished. Also, the book was exceptionally well-edited so it was a pleasure to read. I recommend this book to everyone looking for motivation and inspiration both women and men, young adults and adults.

Exactly! At first, I thought that maybe this book wasn't for me as I'm not an entrepreneur but I couldn't stop reading. As a young woman, I really felt encouraged and motivated by the strong Susanne Birgersdotter. :)
