[Following is a volunteer review of "Learn to Play Guitar" by Gareth Evans.]

[rwc=id254170-125]4 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]Playing helps to bring people together and engage them in hearing the sounds. Evans tells the readers what to work on and the lead playing techniques. He started this by telling the readers about tuning the guitar. Tuning is based on understanding the strings of a guitar. The cords are named according to what note they sound when played open.

Learn to Play Guitar by Gareth Evans is designed for beginners to intermediate players. He highlights that guitar music is written in the treble chef. This treble chef is usually at the start of the staff. When the note is placed at a high level on the staff, the higher in pitch it is.

The book includes chapters, meant to be examined individually or as a whole, accordingly with the reader's interests and needs. There is a broad range of topics discussed in this book. The opening chapter covers the essential techniques of using a pick. The pick should be held between the thumb and the index finger. The author tells us that your hand shouldn't be too far out, so you should have as much control causing it to flap about within our grip.

One of the things I loved most about the book was its simplicity; nothing was too hard to follow. The author also kept me glued to the pages of the book when he talked about tablature. This is a simple way of reading for the guitar as it gives a graphical representation of the fretboard. The numbers on the strings tell us what fret to play on.

The book was professionally edited. The language used was straightforward, and in this manner, it was easy to comprehend. This was one of the best, well-written books I've read in a while. The author has a great talent for creating and teaching. The writer teaches us how to hold the guitar in an organized way. Many guitarists didn’t learn how to keep the guitar in an organized way. We should learn to sit upright when sitting to play the guitar. It will help balance the guitar on the lap.

There are several things worth mentioning about this book. What I liked the most was the method explanation the author displayed throughout the book. I was greatly surprised to find several pictures to help the reader to understand the changing between the chords and the hints for improvising. The book was also professionally edited, and I didn't find any errors. Therefore, I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. Since there is nothing I didn't like about the book, there is no point in taking one star away. I must say that this book has opened my eyes to a unique way of handling a guitar. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to play guitar.
