One of the first statements of this author was ' all I want for my son is to be satisfied ' . I love this book. It is an honest testimony on someone's lessons learnt as they grew . Not grew up , just grew.
You really feel able to believe tomorrow is a new day and if this man can do it so can I.
On page 15 when he mentions his mum would lock herself in the balthroom & threaten suicide. You just felt for the little boy he was. All the grown up things he witnessed robbed his childhood.
I adore how he feels he was given a second chance with his son.
By page 54 you really can taste a man whose turned his life around and also earning good money but what he's learnt is priceless.
Chapter 9 challenged me to think about the relationships in my life. All are positive now and healthy . I am proud of tha. However, they sure were not at one time and the lessons ive learnt are also priceless. The book would make a fantasic movie.
Ones relationship with God is paramount and this man knows God had this. He had to learn what he had to learn first otherwise it would not have worked. God knew that, so it was in his timing.
Learnt behaviours can be so powerful and many can not break the cycle but what a powerful story of someone who did just that.
I give this book 4 out 4. Awesome
