This was a very interesting language reference guide. We have several idiom books available on the market; However must of them follow a traditional or regular dictionary format. Where most of the times they are presented in alphabetical order. Therefore they are only intended as reference books or Dictionaries.

This book presents a collection of English Idioms. They are first presented with a reading, which enables to deduce the meaning and have a better understanding of them before they are presented individually. Each idiom is explained first inEnglish and then in German, which allows you to practice both languages. Example sentences are provided to further show o explain the use of the phrases/ idioms. Having the idioms grouped by topic is a great plus, because it enables you to increase your vocabulary. Finally, at the end of each section, you will find exercises (sentences to complete), where you can check your understanding.

As a German Language student and an English speaker, I found it to be very accurate and useful. It is a good tool to improve language accusation or simply as a reference guide.
