Do you need help starting your business? Maybe it is time for change within your old one. Either way, Empowered can help. Dominica Lumazar is providing tips and advice for little and big businesses looking to improve themselves. She is a top marketing and she wants to spread her knowledge to others. Dominica goes through three parts. Part one, Leading for Success, Part two, Business Value and Part three, Business Clarity. Each with their own focus but together advises how to prepare, become, keep and appreciate your business. All important to any successful business wanting to be around long term.

There is a lot of useful knowledge in her book, but my favorite is in a section called Move. “As a business owner, one must continue to improve and strive to be better. If one door closes, you say, “Thank you,” and just keep going. If doors keep slamming in your face, just keep saying, “Thank you!” One day, the door will stay wide open and there will be an abundance of options and opportunities waiting for you. If I can do this, so can you.” Location 169 Often people take failure as a bad sign instead of using it to better themselves. Dominica went through a lot in her life and is proof that hard work and determination can get you what you want; in most cases.

Another section I found very insightful was the subject of Gift Cards. I never knew that when someone buys a gift card and doesn’t use it the company doesn’t get paid. When a customer comes in to use their gift card, it is important for the employee to try and up sale the transaction. They should try to get the customer to add on more than what the gift card value is worth so that the company makes more money and you get the customer interested in coming back to spend their own money at a later date.

Tips like these are the reason I would rate Empowered by Dominica Lumazar a 4 out of 4 stars. It is very well written with no mistakes and full of excellent advice for business owners and dreamers. There was no aspect of the book I didn’t like, and I would love to enlist her help further when I start my business.

I would suggest this book to current and future business owners who want to better their thinking and businesses. Students who are studying marketing and brands would also find this book very helpful. Dominica has gained a new fan of her work with me and I most definitely will pass her on to others.
