As the founder of Sweet D Marketing and a World-renowned Strategic Marketing and Branding Consultant, I find Dominica Lumazar fit for the position of an entrepreneurial mentor. Her 10+ years of experience running two of her own successful companies credits her to provide reliable business strategies or approaches.
Have you ever thought of being your own boss? Empowered by Dominica Lumazar is a business guide that underscores leadership skills that will help those already running businesses or those aspiring to start one to be good and effective leaders. A good leader will see that their business is growing and try to adopt new strategies and norms that will help to better their business.
The book is divided into three parts. Part one highlights leadership skills that a business owner should embrace and implement. Part two explains why and how leaders should value their business. Ultimately, part three encourages business owners to identify with their business. They need to own their business and be willing to take risks for the sake of the success of their business.
The narration is written from the authors perspective. Additionally, she used a language that can be easily understood by everyone. Furthermore, she freely expresses her sentiments without holding back relevant points. Moreover, the context is simple, clear, and less tiring. Finally, the book is professionally edited, though I detected a few grammatical errors that do not damage the quality of the message.
The book contains encouraging and remarkable sentiments that can change the life of an entrepreneur. Additionally, the reader will be in a position to understand the essence of being a leader. Remarkably, the book highlights what is needed for a business to succeed and how to execute simple tasks that’ll contribute to the growth of the business. After every chapter, there is a link attached that direct the reader to the site containing additional materials related to the subject being discussed. Remarkably, the questions at the end of each chapter are meant to help the reader meditate on the key points and think about how they can apply the lessons.
What I like about the book is the fact that the author shares her inspiring life story in the narrative. And despite the severe challenges she faced in the past, she maintains a positive attitude. I’m encouraged that she’s determined to bring change to people’s lives. Her swift narration about her journey to her success is noteworthy. Additionally, the relevant points are underlined or italicized. Ultimately, the authors’ sentiments are convincing and practical.
The material is timely for the reason that my business is young. I could use the incredible ideas and principles portrayed in the book to improve my leadership skills. I enjoyed every bit of the narrative. There is nothing to hate or dislike.
I managed to draw a couple of moral lessons. 1. Negative thoughts can damage our physical and mental health. 2. “Being a leader is not about being liked, but it’s about being respected.” 3. Do not pity yourself because of the failures you’ve encountered, but turn your failures into lessons. 4. Always strive to improve and be better. 5. “Spending money on irrelevant things can sink a business before it even had a chance to float.” 6. “Be slow to speak, but quick to listen.” 7. If you or I resist course correction, then we’ll be signing ‘a death sentence’ for our businesses. 8. As a leader, you must cultivate humility.
This is the best gift to offer a friend because there’s a lot to learn from the book. I take this opportunity to thank the author for gifting the readers with this timely and educational piece. I must say I have greatly benefited from reading the book. I, therefore, rate the book at 4 out of 4 stars.
I recommend the book to all entrepreneurs.

I agree that entrepreneurs will be " empowered" as they come to learn the steps that can lead to a successful business career.

Totally. Thank you for stopping by.unamilagra wrote: ↑08 Sep 2019, 19:48 I always like when the author incorporates their own story in books of this type. It feels like less of a lecture that way. It sounds like there are some great takeaways from this book. Great review!
