Who Told You That You Were Naked? is a non-fiction written by William Combs. The author is a pastor who loved to paint word pictures so the congregation could better understand the sermons.

As someone who was not very familiar with the Bible, I found Who Told You That You Were Naked? interesting. The author helped me understand things I wouldn’t understand if I read the Bible alone.

The book is about sin, how it started and how to be cleared from it. It all began when God created Adam and Eve and how they disobeyed Him. I learned about Adam and Eve when I was a little girl, on my textbooks. It wasn’t well-explained, and I’m not too curious about their story. Then, the author of this book changed me. He made the story of Adam and Eve interesting to me.

There is a dramatization on how God created Adam and how he trusted him. He even let Adam named every creatures He made. It also shows His compassion to him when he made Eve. He made Eve because Adam was lonely. Everything was pure and serene until the Serpent tricked Eve and made her and Adam eat the forbidden fruit. That was how we are all sinners. But there’s a way to be free from sin, and that’s following Jesus Christ. Actually, he has redeemed us from sin already, when he accepted being crucified for us.

I have to recommend this book to everyone. Whether a new Christian, someone who is struggling, or someone who is losing faith. Most of the time, we are separating ourselves from the Lord because of our sins. Instead of asking for forgiveness, we’ll just do it our way, thinking our ways was better than anybody. In this book, you will see how His way is better than ours and how easy He can give us His forgiveness if we're just sincere.

I found a new way of praying, thanks to this book. Instead of praying for something I wanted so badly, I will ask Him first if it is His will. When I pray before, I often force God for giving me what I want. Now, I realized that was very rude of me.

If I would rate this book, I will give it 4 out of 4 stars for it was well-written, well-researched and well-edited. It’s a kind of book that changes life, including mine. I will be forever thankful to the author for making me believe in Him again.
