Selling Through Your Heart; Empowering You to Build Relationships for Financial Freedom is a comprehensive step-by-step guide designed exclusively for business people, salespersons, and entrepreneurs. It was written by Dr. Shirlene Reeves who is a life and business coach with 28 years of experience in creating multimillion-dollar businesses. This book has won two impressive awards; the 2019 Independent Press Award and the 2019 Next Generation Indie Award. Within its pages, readers will discover how to develop an abundant mindset, how to effectively communicate with others, how to build a sturdy foundation for any business, how to effectively market products and services, and how to sell them using the 3 Step Sales Waltz™.

I wish I had come across this book a year ago when I worked at an insurance firm. Selling life insurance and annuity policies were challenging at times because I didn’t have the right mentality and skills. After reading this book, I became more aware of the areas which I need to work on if I want to improve my career skills. I realized that I am a High I (Interactive/Influencer) personality based on The DISC Sales Profiling System. This segment on personality types was the most eye-opening one for me. I really appreciated that Dr. Reeves described the various personality types in detail and gave practical communication tips to help readers relate better to each one. In this way, one can better 'sell through the heart' and make lasting business relationships with co-workers and clients.

Using analogies to explain certain points made Dr. Reeves’ concepts easy to understand. For instance, when she was describing the importance of having a business blueprint, she likened it to the lighthouse in San Felipe Bay which her house overlooks. She described that the lighthouse was anchored on a cliff and not on shifting sands. In the same way, one’s business must also be built on a strong foundation and having a business blueprint is vital to success.

Dr. Reeves’ tips on developing an abundant mindset were exceptional. She spoke about the Law of Attraction, positive self-dialogue, and the importance of meditation and journaling. I have been researching these concepts recently so I was elated to see them being associated with wealth creation and career success. The book also included spaces where readers were encouraged to make notes and answer questions. These interactive fragments were an excellent addition to the book.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. In addition to providing helpful step-by-step advice, it was also easy to understand, relatable, and interactive. The book was fully edited and formatted. For these reasons, I am happy to award Selling Through Your Heart; Empowering You to Build Relationships for Financial Freedom 4 out of 4 stars. It will surely be a supportive guide for business owners, salespeople, and entrepreneurs as well as anyone who is aspiring to be any of these.

Your review was very enlightening and thorough. The book contains great advice for those who are in sales positions. It doesn't apply to me right now, so I will pass. I'm glad to see the book was well-done.

I took the DISC test QUITE a while ago. I can't even tell you what I was any more, but I know I'm not a salesperson. It's not in my skill set. I don't think this would be for me, but I'm glad it's well done. I know it would be useful for many out there.

This sounds like a great book. I'd be interested to know my personality type. I currently don't feel like I'd be good at selling things, so I'd be interested to see how this book could help me improve that. Thank you for the review!

The appropriate and memorable analogies help readers assimilate the author's points. Often, it is the analogy that we remember! I'm wondering if the abundant mindset might translate to other areas outside of the sales/business field. Great review.

Ah, I'm not in sales and I don't really want to be, but this sounds like an excellent book for those who are. The personality thing in particular sounds useful for identifying the areas where you're strongest and weakest, so I hope it finds the audience that needs it.

This sounds like a unique and insightful book and a great help for someone in sales! Not my area of expertise so I will pass for now, but this is a very well written review. Thank you for sharing your thoughts:)

I could really use a book like this. Communication is not my strong point. This will be a must-read for me. Thank you for reviewing!

I didn't even like selling Girl Scout cookies, so I guess this is not the book for me. It does sound like a solid book for someone interested in sales.

Your review was quite helpful.

I can't wait reading this book. I'm so excited! Partly emphasize that this book is for sales people. But if it contains personal development then it's worth giving an extra mile to read this book. This would contribute a lot for me because I'm into Business. Nice review! Thank you.
