The Chauvinist's Guide to Modern Romance by Morris Rollins is everything that an intelligent reader would presume the work to be based on it's title. Quite frankly, it is obvious why the author decided to use a pen name rather than reveal their true identity.

The book begins by defining women then goes on to define men. Both of the definitions provided are offensive and vastly overly generalize people. The author follows the definitions by telling the reader how to utilize these definitions to increase their success rate with women.

In order to instruct it's readers, the book describes various types of men and various types of women. These descriptions are nothing but stereotypes that don't appear to have any empirical evidence. All of these unfounded insults disguised as descriptions leave little room in the book for actual advise. Additionally, I can't imagine that the very few tips provided would actually increase any man's chance with any woman.

The thing that I liked the most about this book was that it is a short, quick read. It contains few pages and many images which makes it brief. The thing that I disliked the most was that the entire work was based on opinions and stereotypes. Additionally, I think that tge author is quite presumptions in assuming that they are some sort of expert in the field of sexual conquests and romance. The end of the work explains that the author was inspired to write the work after meeting a man who struggled with women. However, it fails to offer any evidence as to why the author would be qualified to provide advise in the area of women.

One positive that I have to give credit for is that the author seems to be literate and the work was almost error free. Another is that the offense that this author offers seems to be offered equally to all people. This work is certainly not for children and I can't imagine a woman appreciating it. I can see some men appreciating it's contents but I don't know that it will improve them or their lives.

I would consider this work to be 2 out of 4 stars. I can't say that I will be recommending it, but it is well-written and some people may appreciate it. My advise to potential readers would be to not take the work too seriously and you may find parts comical.
