Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks by Morton E.Tavel, MD is a book that provides very helpful and safe health tips and tricks. The book also helps bust a lot of common myths related to health. This book is divided into three sections, namely, tips, myths and tricks. The first section is about health and wellness practices that can be incorporated into our daily lives so as to help creat a healthier and longer physical outlook. The second section deals with common misconceptions about our physical make-up and how we relate to the world. Finally, the last section is devoted to various strategems that are designed to take your money in exchange for useless or dangerous products. Morton E.Tavel aims to provide practical advice that can help people protect their health.

With a lot of misinformationan around us regarding health and nutrition, health tips, myths, and Tricks does a wonderful job of mitigating many of these myths using solid research. All of the author's claims are backed by scientific research, making it a very reliable source of information.

This book is a very interesting read as it allows you the opportunity to learn more about your health as well as helps one identify myths that are untrue or that may lead to harmful habits. Among the common myths it tackles is weather or not vaccinations cause autism, a misconception that has caused quite a lot of arguments.

In addition, the book is far reaching in both depth and scope, dealing with issues ranging from the common cold and back pain to more complex problems like weight loss solutions and cardiovascular disease. After scanning the chapter titles, the reader may wish to concentrate on those of special interest. However, all of the chapters contain useful information for a very wide audience.

I especially liked the fact that it is not vague when dealing with a particular issue but gives very precise examples. For instance when discussing prescription diet pills that may be harmful, some over-the-counter drugs are mentioned by name.

This book is written in a way that the average person can understand and explores some of the lesser known health tips and tricks that deserve more attention.

The thing I liked least about this book is that it lacked a lot of graphical illustrations which I think would have made it even much more interesting. I also didn't come accross any gramatical errors.

Because of its wide scope, scientific backing and clear explanations, I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I would highly recommend it to health enthusiasts.
