Happy Healing by Dominique Bourlet

I rate this book 3 stars out of 4 stars.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has an auto-immune disease, as well as others who suffer from chronic pain, are willing to try alternative methods of healing, and wish to be in charge of their own health.

This is not a book to skim through - it is a teaching book. This book takes you through an 8 step process to heal yourself; the only criteria is that you must sincerely want to heal yourself as it is quite a slow and tedious process. This process involves spending time really connecting with your body in a way that you have never dreamed of.

If you do not love your body, if your physical pain is causing you emotional pain, following the Happy Healing guidelines will improve your pain emotionally as well as physically. The author does not guarantee that you will be pain free, ha admits that he has had patients who did not have the patience to follow through on the Happy Healing process.

Even though I do not suffer from chronic pain, I decided to give the Happy Healing process a try. I admit that it is difficult to find 45 minutes of no interruptions - but then how long does one sit at a doctors office? Practicing the 8 steps of the Happy Healing process has helped me to understand, love, and respect my body. It has also taught me not to ignore any pain signals that my body is sending to me - to release the pain naturally rather than blocking it with pain killers.

The author,Dominique Bourlet, had been a horse whisperer, he then learned ancient Asian healing. Combining his knowledge of horses and their temperaments with alternative healing techniques, he has developed this remarkable self-healing technique. The book is well written and well laid out. I found no grammar or spelling errors. My only criticism is that I found it to be a bit repetitive and long winded in places.

Sincerely following the Happy Healing technique will cost you nothing but time and you will be rewarded - not only with physical healing - you will find that you have healed emotionally, mentally, and even physically.
