Who told you that you were naked is an inspiring, an informative, motivating and encouraging book about refreshing reexamination of the Garden of Eden, written by William E. Combs.
The book has ten very informative chapters and written to help readers understand more; sin, faith and Jesus presence. The authors begin by introducing his early life in Alaska, from age of five to the time he gets desire to live for God and also to understand him more.
The book starts it chapters in garden. This is in the innocent nature. Interaction between Adam and God is seen here. Lord understands Adams loneliness and performs the world first major reconstructive surgery, hence woman from one of Adams ribs. They are assigned to responsibilities. Peace in garden is portrayed by the interaction of the creatures.
Sin enters in the world through woman which is seconded by Adam. The Author makes readers understand the death that was to come by sin, the spiritual death. I like it more, it gives deep details on the scripture about consequences that come with sin. It reveals more on nakedness which also occurs in current days. Significance of the action; God clothing Adam and Eve in future as, Christ dying for our sins. This highly motivate readers to be deep on the scriptures, to have the revelation in them.
The Author reexamine start of sin. This was in desire which also explain the reason to the current day sinning. He uses scripture in New Testament to explain it more that; desires of our fresh and the pride of life as call to sin. Knowledge begotten from eating the forbidden fruit, clearly come out to be shame and guilty
The book, explain intense of God in planting the fruit in the garden. Faith is highlighted to be the core, in pleasing God for the believers as it was expected from Adam. This is clear in Adam believing his wife rather than God. The choice by Adam and Eve made us slaves to sin but, Writer, majors more on encouraging faith through scriptures, for the grace of Lord is sufficient.
Faith is deeply interpreted in the book. Real faith expected from our Creator also outlined and examples of real faith in scriptures. Sinful nature inherited from Adam, expectations from the believers that they should see themselves sinners and always; cleanse themselves, renew their mind, walk in light and walk born again. Author also highlights on getting close to God and avenues, Lord uses to assist us in our walk with him.
Being a Christian, I find this book deep to helping. Personally reading through was blessing to me. I could feel the magnitude of the grace with the book. I got; highly inspired on understanding the scriptures, motivated, challenged in Christian life I have been in, need for more interaction with God and Holy Spirit. Author’s life experience also essential to building ones faith
The book is good. The problem with it, is much of introduction before getting to the great message it carries. I really recommend the book and thank the author for allowing to be used of the Lord. I therefore rate the book 3 out of 4 stars. It is informative, inspiring, helpful and highly inspired writing. I recommend it to all Christians for more spiritual growth and also for inspiration.
