We live in a world where you can readily be duped into purchasing products that have little or no value at all. With this as his point of departure, Dr. Tavel deems it fit to provide a handbook which we can use to overcome the tricks incessant marketers use to grab our monies.

I would describe the book as informative and very insightful. It is divided into three parts wherein the author expounds on various health tips, myths, and tricks. The tips section provides invaluable information that one can adopt for their physical well being. The myths tackle misinformation, whereas the tricks section equips you to beat the snake-oil salesmen at their own game. In a nutshell, everything about achieving physical wellness at the least cost, vests in having the right information.

It is the author’s considered opinion that a good breakfast is a great way to start your day. It enhances your concentration and boosts your physical steadfastness. It also saves you a few pennies on unnecessary snacking during the day. A heavy lunch and a light supper work best. Also, get yourself enough sleep each night and do not forget that doing exercise on a regular basis is quintessential. With that, bear in mind that every other thing you do must be done in moderation. For instance, consumption of coffee, alcohol, chocolate et cetera.

Reading this book was of great benefit to me. It helped do away with a couple of misconceptions which I initially believed to be true. Case in point is the myth about energy drinks.

It is commendable that the book was written from a point of in-depth research: several references are provided to back up the author's opinion. This greatly enhances the credibility of the book. Additionally, he has used simple vocabulary thus the book is fairly easy to read and comprehend. The book also covers a broad spectrum of issues encapsulated in a total of sixty-two chapters! A demonstration of the author’s mastery of the subject matter.

In general, the author brings the much-needed sense to the study of physical well being, thus a rating of 4 out of 4 stars is well deserved. It was well written, and I did not encounter any grammatical and typographical errors.

A variety of readers can benefit a great from the book, Health Tips, Myths, And Tricks, A Physician’s Advice by Dr. Morton E. Tavel. However, I would wish to specifically single out persons who are grappling with lifestyle disorders and those who work as nutritional caregivers.
