Physical wellness remained one of the topmost issues faced globally by different individuals whether young or old. An illness could hit anyone, anytime. And with the advantages of technology & modernization, people found ways to assert the problem.

Unfortunately, due to different reasons, information scattered all over the news, internet, television advertisements, printed articles and other outlets could be misleading, and even harmful.

Dr. Morton F. Tavel, in his book Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks: A Physician’s Advice addressed to this matter with the aim to provide accurate, effective, wise and budget-friendly hacks towards having a long & healthier life. He is a licensed physician and cardiologists who also conducted training on the development of physical health among individuals.

He divided the book into three categories: First, in Tips you can find broad perspectives and facts about certain foods that an individual regularly intake. Tavel focused on instigating the importance of well-being and how you can improve your physical and mental fitness.

Second, in Myths he tried to correct common speculations and beliefs on the proper usage of medications to give his audience a clearer view and hopefully, enlighten their minds to think wisely before jumping into conclusions. To justify himself, he embedded strong arguments together with complete set of facts and data from relevant resources. Third, in Tactics he focused on the side effects and harm brought by fraud business propaganda dispersed through various outlets. He stressed the possible damage a person could acquire by using certain supplements, diet pills, and surgeries.

The organization and vividness of the thoughts convinced me because he showed his mastery on the field of human’s health. He discussed one specific topic at a time and gave rational arguments as you can see on the table of contents.

The introduction caught my interest instantly due to its informative and straightforward explanation. It summarized the entire point and goal of the book without spoiling the audience.

I am impressed by the author’s ability to connect with his readers with intact as well as honest discussion. He provoked specific and convenient advice that are applicable to anyone. I learned the importance of scrutinizing a product’s nutritional facts before actually paying for it. Also, the book provided me a lot of helpful guidance and information regarding the essential vitamins and minerals contained in each food. My insights broadened after I read the material, he cited common foods and beverages such as coffee as an example & gave an analysis on how much calorie you can gain from it as well as how beneficial it could be to you. At the bottom of each chapter, a short summary was also provided so you can easily get the point.

I am confident to trust the book contents because Dr. Tavel provided citations & research data analysis from reliable sources including the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and medical professionals. Due to its harmless advice & techniques, I recommend the book to men & women who want to lose weight or in a particular diet, I think that it will help them towards achieving their goals.
I have noticed some grammatical errors in the book however, it didn’t bother me nor mislead me in any way. The contents and views are well discussed therefore, I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars.

Heath is wealth. Pluck yourself out from millions of people who suffer from diseases and early loss of life. Begin the journey towards a healthier & happier you.You only have one life, so be wiser on your decisions and let this book guide you.

It is very hard to discern information that we receive about our health these days! There is so much and it often contradicts the other. I would like to see what this book says after reading your review - seems like good information.
