Who Told You That You Were Naked? is an incredibly well written book. I'd give it 4 out of 4, which probably seems like I'm not being honest. But as a Christian myself, I loved how William E. Combs dove into the scripture and explained how we humans often feel the shame of spiritual nakedness. It definitely deserved the best.

In the first half, using references from the Bible, Combs explains the story of Adam and Eve, sometimes from Adam's head, but mostly from a studying standpoint. The second half focuses on Jesus Christ death and God's ultimate plan for his people's salvation.

I loved that Combs's writing was always easy to understand. So many Christian books use big words that take away from the message the author is trying to get through to people. Not only are they distracting, but it can be frustrating. Combs did an amazing job using smaller words that don't make your brain want to explode. Maybe not a book ten year olds could handle, but their busy parents won't be overwhelmed.

I didn't like the first time Combs writes from Adam's view, before Eve was created. He writes that Adam witnesses a lion eating an ewe and then rescues her lamb. I'm sure most theologians agree that in the beginning, creation was perfect. Nothing died and the animals that are carnivores now, such as lions, were peaceful herbivores. Until the fall, and that's when a lion would have killed an ewe. The fact that the animal died at the peak of creation perfection doesn't bother me as much as the lion was originally stalking Adam, which God would never allow at that particular point in time. He might want to consider changing stuff like that in the future.

But with only a few extra spaces and a confusing name swap that I noticed, the editing was very well done.
