I would be really interested to see how Byzantine art influenced Michelangelo’s creations. This book would really be enjoyable for history, art and philosophy lovers. Thanks for a detailed review!

From the reviewer’s recommendation, I believe I would enjoy this book when in the mood for some non-fiction learning! I love this time period and am fascinated by ancient philosophy. Thanks for your excellent review!

I really like non-fiction books and how informative they can be. However, I am not a huge fan of philosophy so I may skip this one. Congratulations on book of the day!

I am interested in philosophy but not so much in art. I don't think this book is for me. Thank you for the very insightful review.

According to your review, the book sounds like an interesting read. Art is something that interests me but philosophy isn't an interesting theme for me. I would recommend this book to those interested in both these subjects. Thanks for the wonderful review.

I have always admired the works of Michelangelo and other Renaissance sculptors. This book sounds informative and should be a useful resource for history students like me.

I do not have much knowledge of the subjects discussed in the book. Although I'm not averse to knowledge and the fact that the book is well-researched would make me try my hands on it. I wish to congratulate the author on being the #BOTD!

Michelangelo, the Byzantines, and Plato by Elena Ene D-Vasilescu is a philosophical book on how Michelangelo’s work was influenced by the Byzantines, Plato, and the Neo-Platonists. Philosophers will enjoy this read.

Sounds like a great non-fiction. I'm not a fan of non-fiction but I'm very much interested in the topics of this particular book -literature, art, philosophy . I would like to read the full book.
Thanks for your review.

This book is a wealth of information about Michelangelo, his education, how he became familiar with Neoplatonism while living in the household of Lorenzo de Medici, his early works and more. I enjoyed the numerous illustrations within the pages. Two of my favorites were Madonna of the stairs, which he produced when he was around 16 years of age. Also, the Madonna Della Pietà. Unfortunately, I found the formatting in the Kindle edition distracting, with many instances of words running together. Thanks for the excellent review on this novel.

Readers who enjoy scholarly explorations will definitely enjoy this book. Themes of Philosophy, arts, and literature adores the pages of this well-illustrated book. Not a fan of this genre, though. Otherwise, congrats on the Book of the Day.

Michael Angelo
This book outlines the periods of Michael Angelo and the credit references of the works. The cover portrait is significant of Michael Angelo and his style of dress at the time. This is a relevant account of Michael Angelo and his work, the Byzantines and Plato.
