It is a great mercy that Tai Solarin is not alive to see what his beloved Nigeria has turned to. Herein also lies the importance of this book and any of such, we can go back and connect to the ideals and motives of our heroes past.

A nicely written review. I grew up reading and hearing stories of the great Tai Solarin with a few urban legends thrown in for good mix. I hope at least a chapter is dedicated to his wife Sheila (who was his great support), I will definitely get a copy of this book.

Being a Nigerian, I grew up hearing and reading about this great man. Anything about Tai Solarin is worth reading, he's an entity Nigeria will ever missed. I therefore recommend this book for everyone.

Apart from the fact that the foreword this book was written by a former student, it didn't fail to portray Tai's personality. As an alumni myself, I'd recommend this book to everyone who believes in self reliance. Definitely going to read this.

How exciting to meet someone who actually went there. It seems like an amazing school.

Tai is a really great man, an educator. Being a Nigerian, I've heard so much about him and from your summary of this book, I'd like to read about him. Thanks for your review.

It really is a good school. Imbibes in me self discipline and reliance and I'm proud and happy to have gone through the school

A biography revolving around the Mayflower School and its founder sounds intriguing. The book follows both Tai’s life and his legacy. He does sound like a great man according to what you wrote. It is impressive that the author have read 5-10 books a week while attending Mayflower. It was interesting to read about the typical week there. It isn't a genre I enjoy reading, but I am glad you enjoyed the book. Thank you for your review!

This sounds like an interesting look at the effect of philosophy on society. Not my type of book but still a good topic. Thanks for your review.

I don't like biography a lot. But this biography sound interesting. A biography of a teacher by it's student is a great idea.

When your student dares to write even some very personal positive things about you to share with the world, you know that your life is so dear and valuable to many. This is a must read biography. Thanks for this review.

This is an educational biography by @DeleBabalola that i found to be an inspirational book. The writing style was interesting and the onlinebookclub review was written masterfully and highlighted the best the book had to offer. Congrats on being the BOTD.

Although I can’t agree with Tai’s atheistic beliefs, I believe his example of living according to personal beliefs even if outside of the conventional is valuable. It would be interesting to learn about the Mayflower School and to hear from his former students.

Tai. A man of the people indeed. He had positive influence on his contemporary generation that was passed on to the generations that followed. Quite interesting. But sorry i don't agree with philosophy. The book is not for me. Great review.
