Raven's Peak by Lincoln Cole is a well written novel that tells of life, love and sacrifice.
The novel tells the story of Abigail and her search for her adoptive father. One sacrifice to save a life leads to another sacrifice and a chance but valuable encounter with a young man called Haatim.

The story begins with an exorcism that does not go as expected. The result of this is fear, mistrust, guilt and an intense search for the truth.
In search of this truth, Abigail and Haatim follow a fast paced trail that leads them to discover new worlds different from their own world and a strength of character they never knew they had.

Abigail's experiences in the novel sees her go from a lone, self-dependent person to a woman who finds strength in her partnership with Haatim; Haatim on the other hand develops from a timid, self-absorbed young man to an independent, focused person.

The novel spans 164 pages and centralizes around two locations, Arizona and Tennessee. The plot is simple and the characters are well developed. There are few characters in the novel and this makes it less crowded and easier to follow the main characters through the story. The writer gave defined roles to the minor characters and their exchange with the main characters. The writer fluidly progressed to other scenes without unnecessarily cutting these characters off.

Personally, the novel Raven's Peak is in a genre I haven't tried before. It talks about the war over good and evil, angels and demons. It's a subject, I would rather not have read but the style of writing employed by the writer made it difficult to drop down. With this book I am glad I did. It was interesting, adventurous, fast paced and well written.

I rate Raven's Peak by Lincoln Cole a 4 out of 4 because there are no grammatical errors, and it is interesting. I also recommend it to anyone who loves novels of adventure and mystery.
