Raven's Peak is a paranormal thriller book from Lincoln Cole. It is the first installment in the World On Fire series, followed by Raven's Fall and Raven's Rise.

Raven's Peak is in grave danger; the town folks are acting insane and crazy. Abigail Dressler is appointed to investigate, the evil threat looming upon the town. She needs to race against time to save the small town from a brutal end.

The story hinges on two protagonists: Abigail Dressler and Hatim Arison. Abigail is a courageous demon hunter working for the council. The council is keeping tabs on Abigail, due to her dark past. She needs to prove her worth to the council while being on a secret quest.

The only family Abigail knew, was his mentor and adopted father: Arthur Vangeest, who is taken away by a demon. She will hunt demons and torture them to get information, without getting in the radar of the council. Meanwhile, Hatim Arison is a young blogger. He is depressed, due to her sister's death; he loses faith in religion and God. His world turns upside down when he is marked by a demon. He faces life-threatening evil but our badass hunter, Abigail saves him. Despite, being two contrasting personalities; they decide to rescue Raven's Peak from the greater evil.

The prologue is compelling and powerful. I was connected to this book from the very first pages. There were excitement, thrill, and so much action. Raven's Peak is a perfect blend of supernatural, mystery, and dry humor.

Abigail and Hatim are an interesting duo. They create a bond of friendship, trust, and hope. Abigail is a real treat to read. She is quirky, headstrong and is ready to throw punches and kicks. Throughout the toughest of circumstances, she never backed down. Her determination and strong-will were admirable. However, Hatim's character is likable, and his growth took me by surprise. All in all, Abigail and Hatim make a great team.

An intruding plot, lovely characters, and fast-paced storyline make Raven's Peak a win in my book. I was hooked to the pages and couldn’t read fast enough. The story flows effortlessly. The author has created thrills and anticipation skillfully. A tale of unexpected twists and turns, which keeps the reader on the edge of the seat. Although there were certain chapters which added less value to the story. The sad thing about this book is; it ends on a cliffhanger, which left me all curious for the next installment.

Raven’s Peak is an amazing read, adventurous and an absolute page-turner. No grammar or spelling mistakes were detected. I award this book 3 out of 4 stars. Raven's Peak is filled with demons, horror, and a whole lot of supernatural. I will recommend this book to the readers who love supernatural fantasy genre. This book won't disappoint. Will you take a peek at this amazing book?
