Demon freaks by J.R.R.R (JIM) HARDISON is a horror comedy thriller that delves into the experiences of a group of highschool teenagers, two of which were twin brothers, the night before their S.A.T's as they struggle to both keep each other alive and thwart the plans of an occult society intending to cause chaos and destruction all with the impending doom of them totally failing the S.A.T's because they didn't have time to prepare. Its explores the good, the bad and the funny of being in a life and death situation and the astounding mysteries ever ready to be revealed on a quest against the forces of darkness.

The Novel is thrilling, captivating, humorous and exciting as I procceeded from chapter to chapter I was left with nothing short of suspense and longed for what was going to happen next. The diction of the novel couldn't be any more beautifully selected as the reader gets a pretty vivid representation so much so that it was like watching a movie, his choice of words were easy to understand and I didn't have to check my dictionary except for a couple of times. Also, his use of humour as comic relief was superb, some scenes had me laughing my guts off especially the scene where in chapter nine where meat and the dagger were involved in a tug of words. They characters also arewere well built with description of how they looked like and their several particularly humorous traits.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I'd have rated it 5 out of 4 if that were possible, my rating is so because apart from the storyline and diction that I found incredibly interesting, captivating and understanding,I found no errors. I finished this book in two days because of how thrilling it was. The series of events all happening differently were carefully related as such that I was never confused. Humour kept me laughing and the sheer suspense kept me holding my breath every step of the way.

Although, seemingly perfect..I still have some complaints however minor. I found the ending quite inconclusive and couldn't help wishing I had a sequel to read right away. Then some scenes were hardly believable and exaggerated but besides these the book is was excellent. I repeat, excellent!

I recommend this book to anyone who loves horror and adventure spiced with humour now and then and anyone with a taste for dark and occult books.
