Toxic side effects By Sandy Magner

Toxic Side Effects is about Jen and her family. Jen's father passes and Jen is than faced with figuring out who could have possibly poisoned her father. She is trying to clear her mothers name but in the process,is trying to convince herself that her own mother couldn't have possibly done this. She comes to meet new people and even learns some secrets along the way.

While reading the book, what I liked most about it, is that I just couldn't put it down. There was something new to grab me in and keep me going at every chapter. The book was never dull. Jen was such a strong character and helped me really connect with her. I really liked this book for the aspect of the mystery, that when I was reading it, I was also trying to figure out who could have done this to her father, I came up with theories that would exaplain all of it as well. That’s what I love about any kind of myster book. And I think this book deserves way more recognition for that, than what it’s already getting. I also liked the fact that the ending of the book was something I didn't see coming and kept me on my toes throughout the book , trying to guess who did it. I like that fact about the book because I don't like reading books where I can easily guess what's going to happen. Its very interesting and fun to never know what the next page will bring instead of knowing before I even read it.

What I did not like about this book, is not much, but I would have loved to hear more about the detective and really get an insight for the people being introduced. I feel as if the author didn’t give a good description of some people. I also would have loved the book to be a little longer, I did not want it to stop. Maybe even a second book to let me know what happens after as well.

I rate this book a 3 out of 4 stars because this is an amazing book, that I would surly recommend to all of my friends. A little more details and maybe just a little more background and this book would be perfect.

If you love a good mystery and really getting pulled into a book, than this book is for you. This appeals to anyone who loves to guess and be apart of the book. As well as loving just a good story as well.
