Quando Dormo (When I Sleep) Novel by Edward Izzy

I loved that the author, Edward Izzy, wrote such an excellent story. The author’s ability to include vibrant details of the characters and places made this a truly remarkable read. The content-loaded writing shows that the author puts a lot of effort into researching various topics, landscape and character roles. Stories of this caliber are key to keeping me interested in reading. The authors’ English teachers were right on the money - keep writing! Kudos to this brilliant author. I could not find anything about this novel that I didn’t like. Due to a few grammatical errors, I rated it 4 out of 5 stars.

This captivating tale takes us on a journey through the complicated life of a womanizing, sleepwalking and pro-life obstetrician, Dr. David Fazio.

Dr. Fazio has conquered most of the female nursing staff at Chicago-Western Medical Center during his twenty-five-year career. He has broken the hearts and minds of many. In addition, he has terrible sleep issues that include his well-known sleepwalking episodes. After waking up, the doctor often finds himself in strange places in the city. Finally, his views on pro-life have been widely heard. With the new Reproductive Health Act being passed in Illinois, hospitals are being pressured to perform abortions. The handsome doctor, twice-divorced, has become a source of gossip for his colleagues and local officials.

Waking up with his hands burned the day of a catastrophic fire that claimed the lives of three people, including a well-known adversary, Dr. Mikhail Petrovitch, Dr. Fazio finds himself in the midst of an investigation. The fire was at the Affiliated Planning Center, which performs abortions, within a block of Dr. Fazio’s home.

More abortion clinic fires come, and Dr. Fazio is in the hot seat. Read this magnificent mystery to find out more.
