"Twisted But True" is a book by Darren Burch, who is a patrol officer and a crime detective. It is a set of true crime stories packed with dark comedy and shocking twists. The book starts with a story of a car accident that left Darren and his friends shocked. When Darren and his friends drove in the AMC Pacer, a car collided with an arriving vehicle, which made Darren and his friends feel frozen, and it turned out to be a terrifying nightmare.

I liked the part "New Year’s Acid Trip" very much. It narrates a series of bizarre incidents during New Year's Eve, which took place in 2007. This involved a worker who was found dead in a backyard pond, where the worker's face was brutally damaged due to fumes from acid, which was later found to be strong evidence.

I like the author's skillfully incorporated twists both within and at the end of each chapter. This writing style was new to me and made the book even more interesting.

The book contains explicit language in certain investigation chapters, which may cause some readers to feel uncomfortable.

The book is well-edited, and I found no grammatical errors or typos while reading it. Moreover, there is nothing that I disliked in the book.

I would rate the book "Twisted But True" a solid five out of five, as it deserves a perfect score due to its amazing storytelling and sudden twists. Each story was so thrilling and filled with twists, keeping me engaged throughout. As of today, it is one of the best thriller books I have ever read.

I highly recommend this book to readers who like crime stories, thrillers, psychological mysteries, etc. However, due to some intense scenes, it is best suited for readers who are 16 or above.
Happy Reading!
