Thomas Collins' "Crimeline Hollywood" is a story of glitz and glamour in Hollywood with a hint of mystery. The book is centred around a formal psychologist who is now a famous Hollywood Star astrologer, Dash Harwood, who gets involved in a plot to uncover who kidnapped Sparklynn James, who also happens to be one of his favourite clients.

The author brilliantly weaved an intricate web of mystery that will keep one guessing until the very end. The best thing about this story for me was the pace. The story takes its own time and allows the readers to get into each nook and cranny of the investigation at a deliberate pace. The reasons for Dash's double life and his unconventional methods to solve mystery was really fun. He mostly relies on his intuition to find clues and also decodes clyptic messages in order to get answers.

Another best thing about the story is Dash's chemistry with his partner, Rebecca Fairway, a celebrity detective. I really liked them together. Their banter and witty exchanges give much comic relief that lights the tension in this suspenseful plot. Their contrasting natures, Rebecca's no-nonsense attitude to Dash's more intuitive one, create a dynamic duo that keeps the story light-hearted and fun.

Overall, I think Crimeline Hollywood is a highly recommended read for fans of crime fiction. One of the important roles in this book is that of Ruthann, Dash's love interest, but the prime focus of this story remains the finding of Sparklynn. I give this book a full "5 out of 5 stars" because I didn't notice any spelling errors, and it was also an easy read, so really not any reason to deduct any stars. Although I wouldn't have minded a well-developed romance, I nonetheless enjoyed the mystery. It has a thrilling plot, engaging characters, and a humor that makes this book different from the crowd. It is a must-read for those fans who just love the blend of mystery and thriller along with a pinch of romance in a novel.
