The beginning, with its description of the male lead, was engaging. Some readers will find the scientific explanation interesting. Being a romance reader, I find it exciting that murder and crime stories incorporate real facts rather than just romantic dialogue. The writing style is outstanding. I was just imagining myself in that café or a war zone, meaning that whatever the author is writing, I can imagine things at my core. However, I feel like an abundance of characters or short stories are difficult to handle. I found the early chapters intriguing, assuming they were introductions, but later realized this wasn't the case—it shifts between characters without a clear pattern. The war scenes are good, and their descriptions are kind of on point, but a change of story in every lesson distracts me. Moreover, there is a little deceptiveness in Roxy’s story, which is disappointing for me as I dislike such narrative concepts. After some time, I understood the concept that every character has its chapter, and, in the end, all are turned up together. But I can say that I do not like the book that much. It was very hard for me to remember the characters and their backstories after such extensive action. Furthermore, those lesbian moments, or threesomes, look so unbalanced to the main book story. It includes everything: cheating, sex, threesomes, murder, and everything that makes a novel adult category. If I were to rate it, I would rate it as an adult novel.
The spicy scenes are nice. Although there is only lesbian sex, it is well written.
