The book Quando Dormo (When I Sleep), by Edward Izzi, is a fiction story about the dilemma between pro life and pro choice issues. Dr. David Fazio is a well-known obstetrician at a prestigious medical center located in Chicago, Illinois. The book delves into great detail into the moral challenges he faces concerning a recently passed law which conflicts with his personal beliefs. Despite his extremely successful career, he is not well liked by his colleagues in the hospital he works in. He is known to be frequently at odds with others and is very vocal on the issues between his moral beliefs and the law.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. I thought that the story was very well-written with the use of comprehensive language that is easy for readers who are unfamiliar with medical terms to understand. I also enjoyed how the author delved into detail about the moral dilemmas that Dr. David Fazio experienced every day. Even though I enjoyed the book, I thought that there are some things that could be improved upon to make the book more engaging to readers.

I did not like the excessive use of profanities and harsh expletives on numerous pages. I thought that characters that used profane language or profane names when speaking to or about other characters became very over-used. Additionally, the first half of the book was very slow and stale. I also felt that there were several scenes in the book which were not needed, and did not really add much to the overall plot of the story.

I would rate this book three out of five stars . I thought that the book has a very strong start, but the author may consider making some edits to the things I previously mentioned. Additionally, I thought that the characters were very well thought out, and I enjoyed the plot twists throughout. I also did not find any grammatical errors or typos, and this is a testament to the exceptional editing that was completed to the book.

I would recommend this book to older readers (above 18 years) due to the excessive use of profanity and some sexual content.
