Raven's peak is a bit of a horror book though adventurous with every moves and the suspense in it. I enjoyed the book and it made me feel like i was actually watching a movie full of supernatural powers , the energy and the determination of the good guys.
The book started with a reverend in a prison who believed he needed to atone for all sins and the more he tortured himself he was never satisfied because to him his sins were so grievous even though nothing much was revealed to us by the book about all his bad doings.
In this book, we were made to understand that there are demons everywhere causing chaos on the planet earth just for them to have the earth to themselves by killing every humans in it but we also have the good guys named "the hunters" who were always on the assignment of hacking down these demons whenever they are operating. One of the hunter is Abigail who was trained by a very powerful man a reverend called Arthur who for the love he has for Abigail as his daughter negotiated with one of the demons for her release which is also caused him his life.
The hunters are being controlled and govern by a secret society group who i noticed has different people in it with different agendas, good and bad.... though yet to discover that fully as we await the sequel to this book. Abigail also noticed some of the controversies in the group and she's trying everything possible to bring back Arthur the reverend in other to unravel some mysteries that's kind of beyond her, though she's a very energetic, determined and powerful hunter who still misses her guardian Arthur.
The main story about the title of this book was pushed further back to the end of the book and to me it wasn't really robust enough as it was all short, i expected more , well let's see if there will be more justice done to the sequel book of the story line
I will like to recommend this book for anyone who loves supernatural power books or movie due to the story line but meanwhile the book has it flaws in the area of grammar, proper editing should be done on the book. Also the content settings was not really appropriate, the interlude should be before "about the author" because when i was at that page i thought the story has ended not knowing that it still has an interlude.
I will rate this book 3 out of 4 due to the reasons given in my previous paragraph but nevertheless the story was a good one only need some touches.
