If you like romance, art, and mystery, this is a book made for you. In this book, you get to meet six characters and their story through three different periods and how the art moves their lives. As the story goes by, it feels impossible not to fall in love with the main characters, Angela and Alex, and the way their relationship evolves between the love and attraction they have for each other and the challenges they need to overcome. Those are the main reasons why I have rated this book a 5 out of 5.

In the prologue, Sophia and Gherard are introduced, and just from the beginning, they catch the readers' attention with the survival spirit that they have and their love for art. As the story evolves, the love and passion for art, especially a particular painting, is a common characteristic that all the characters share; sometimes it feels as if the painting itself is kind of a non-living character that keeps all of them moving through their adventures. This is why Da Vinci is so important in this book; his presence and character sort of make the risks all of them take worth it.

The mixture between past, present, and future, the parallel lines between every period of time, and the three stories that are written are intriguing and fascinating, making you want to travel with them and feel the way they feel. It is a breathtaking story that I couldn't put down. In addition, the scenarios that the book describes are also a way to keep the reader interested, especially if you like Italy; they give you a way to see Florence through time and its precious Duomo.

There are a few things I would change in the story. From my perspective, I didn't feel enough connection between Alex and Giuliano; there should be something more like a physical characteristic or something similar. Moreover, I think that the magical or psychic components are maybe a little too much; I feel that they decrease the mysterious and adventurous side of the story, as the main character hardly discovers things for herself; I would like it more if she had found some of the facts about her past as a detective tied things up.

In conclusion, I want to finish this review by saying that even though there are some facts I didn't enjoy that much, it is a book I would recommend 100%. The passion for art is inevitable in this story, as is how well it mixes with the characters lives and the story line.
