All the Targets is a book with political plots and intrigue galore. It follows the affairs and decisions of important White House officials as they deal with terrorism, betrayal, and overlapping capers. I would describe it as a political thriller. I was gripped with suspense while reading this book, waiting to see what would become of the characters and their plans. The characters are well-developed, and it's fascinating to witness how their distinct personalities influence the plot. I particularly enjoyed the wit and banter in their planning and strategising. The plot, although complex with numerous sub-plots, didn't seem to slip away from the author's control. The author was clearly well-researched as well.

As in the world of politics, multiple crucial events occur simultaneously in the book involving different people. "All the Targets" undoubtedly has a convoluted plot, and at times, the frequent plot twists become tiresome. While the surprises were engaging and kept me on edge, it felt like there was a revolutionary development every three pages without allowing the previous one to sit. Admittedly, many of the plots tie together or work themselves out by the end, but the numerous plots might fatigue some readers.

Getting past the plot twists, I did feel connected to the readers. Considering their established personalities and the conflicts they faced, their reactions seemed fitting. I especially enjoyed the female characters in this book for their displays of intelligence and strength. The friendship between Marco Redondo and Major Fox was also nice. I wasn't disappointed with any of the characters introduced from start to finish. Additionally, I found immense enjoyment in re-reading the book and trying to spot clues to the plots before their reveals.

I rate this book a 4 out of 5. I would recommend it to anyone interested in political affairs, espionage, and thrillers.
