You Say Goodbye by Keith Steinbaum is an intense and slightly creepy murder mystery novel. Sean Hightower, the main character, is an ex-rock musician who dreams of writing another hit rock song. However, Sean’s doctor thinks that Sean may have cancer, this is something that scares Sean and his doctor. On top of all this, Sean’s beloved girlfriend has been found murdered. She is murdered by a serial killer who that police have nicknamed the Beatles Murderer. This event breaks Sean down to his core and he becomes severely depressed and even contemplates committing suicide. The police suspect the killer is someone who his girlfriend knew, so the police enlisted the help of Sean to find the killer.

I thought it was interesting and exciting to put together all of the clues within the story to see how everything was connected. I liked how the book was very action-packed right from the start and kept me interested the whole time. I also liked how the author included references to real people and stories or events that have actually happened in their lives in the real world. This helps add to the story’s believability and relatability to the characters.

There was nothing that I did not like about the book. It should be noted that there are instances within the book with mentions of sexual assault and suicide, which may be disturbing to some readers. I also found no grammatical errors or typos in the book, a testament to the exceptional editing done to the book.

I would rate this book five out of five stars for the reasons I have stated above. Even though the book contains sensitive subjects, the author writes about them in a way that is very sensitive and respectful without including graphic details that would have been unnecessary to the story.

I loved reading this book and I highly recommend it to any reader interested in mystery and suspense novels.
