An abandoned daughter, a tortured queen, and a desperate mother fighting for her son's life. That is the cruel story of Samara Daemonium, an innocent girl forced to become Lucifer's queen and prisoner. Half angel and half demon, Samara holds great powers that she needs to discover and control in order to find Papillon, her son who was taken from her. The first child of Lucifer, Lucinda, is determined to defeat her father and rule over Hell, destroying everything that stands in her way, including killing her younger brother, the new heir to the throne. What is going to happen to Papillon and who is going to trust Samara in order to survive? You'll find all the answers in "Requiem For A Queen".

This book like many others has its ups and downs. What I really liked is Kaylin McFarren's way of taking a very well-known character like the Devil and giving him more realistic features. Usually, writers tend to show that every villain has a bright side, but Kaylin doesn't do that. She makes the Devil cruel, wicked, and vicious and I think this is one of the things that makes the story way better and relatable. This story offers so many plot ideas that the author didn't use: love interests, and side characters that could've had a part in the final fight. Also, what I would have liked is if Samara fell in love along her journey with someone who would respect her as his equal and provide her safety, loyalty, and love the things that she clearly needs.

Overall, there are plenty of secrets and plot twists in this story that are worthed and will keep you intrigued until you reach the end of the book. Despite my personal opinions of the story, there are also some misspellings in the book that make me give it a four out of five.

If you like mythology and you're looking for a book with challenging fights, mystical creatures, and a captivating story, I totally recommend giving it a try.
