Predator/Nomad is a thrilling political drama with a plot demonstrating a scientist and a princess who encounter themselves amid a possible world-altering murder case.
The novel, written by Daniel Micko, portrays the character of Jordan - a brilliant professor and researcher specializing in molecular genetics, stem cells, genetic editing, and cloning. Her latest experiment focuses on creating scopolamine from South America's dangerous Devil's Breath plant. According to Jordan's claim, the drug can cure all diseases. Still, her other project is far more suspicious, producing clone soldiers for narco-warlords and drug cartels.
The book is primarily focused on the interior lives of its characters. The story is narrated from several perspectives, for example, Jordan and Princess Saleh. As the investigation begins, the thriller moves forward, and the ultimate climax builds upon the sheer chances of Jordan's being the dangerous criminal mastermind.

At a point, Jordan's research draws the attention of the Saudi royal family, and Prince Faruq invites her to drop by Riyadh, aiming to use her skills and the scopolamine for their political propaganda. But Prince Faruq is found dead, and his sister, Princess Saleh Aisha, suspects Jordan is responsible for this murder. Princess Saleh starts investigating Jordan's background despite their romantic attachment, and her later suspicion moves the story forward.

The novel's detailed and complicated plot blends science fiction with real-world events, including the 9/11 terror attacks. The book concentrates in-depth on international politics, from the internal link of American academics with the world of international terrorism in South America, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The story's various elements revolve around Jordan's expeditions and the settings - incorporating San Francisco and the royal palaces of Saudi Arabia in a well-described manner.

Predator/Nomad is an exciting read investigating the incredible and chaotic world of clone armies, illness as a weapon, and government-supported militias and narco-terrorists. It is an in-depth creative extension of the author's imagination that will turn readers into anticipating the next chapter in Jordan's story.
I want to rate the book 4 out of 5. It was a good read and exclusively relevant to the present time and the future we imagine. I think it could be a little shorter to carry out the thrill from beginning to end.
