I enjoyed reading this book. Initially, I was a little hesitant to start reading a legal thriller as it's not my usual choice of genre. But once I started Pancho McMartin's story, I got curious and kept wanting to read more! The characters are unique, yet somehow they manage to fit the description of everyday ordinary folks, which makes the story feel lifelike. However, at some points, I did get a little bored with some detailed descriptions. Such as when the authors explained the characters' outfits or the background scenery. Sometimes it just felt a bit unnecessary, but maybe that's just me!

I specifically enjoyed how the story was built up and around all the characters. The setting of a small town in Hawaii, where almost everyone knows each other felt nice. The supporting characters were not just used as a side piece, but actually had their own story arcs too, which was refreshing. The journey of the protagonist and his fellow friends and colleagues, along with an exemplary level of mystery, is sure to keep you intrigued until the climactic end.
