Review for Unyielding Destiny by Spiros Gratsias

The novel claims that at the age of eight, Frank Morris had lost both his mother, Auclenzia, and his father, Authur Morris. Don Cabineri adopted Frank as a child and brought him into the most powerful Mafia family in New York. Thirty years later, Frank stays behind bars at Alcatraz, completing a twelve-year sentence. During a prison vaccine programme, He meets Scott, whose father, Roy, died while saving Frank during the Korean War. Frank managed to escape and resume his criminal career, beginning his journey of vengeance. Frank was concerned that he and Scott would soon begin to compete, which may have negative repercussions, when he learned that Scott was now an associate district attorney who was looking into organized crime. From several vantage points, the narrative follows Scott and Frank while disclosing unspoken details and significant historical events. The chapters of the book are devoted to building suspense and tension as Frank learns that wars happen in people's hearts and souls, leading to a dramatic conclusion.

The way the plot discloses Frank's fate in the novel is one of the things I admire about it. Frank's role as a mafia hitman shows me how mature he has become and adds interest to the narrative, which I find appealing. I'm impressed by how well I can picture the author's precise descriptions of people, locations, and events, which make it simple to picture various events in the novel. I keep reading because there's always something happening, and there's tension and drama.

The book's overuse of foul language and pointless sentences is what I find annoying. My reading flow is almost broken by irrelevant sentences. Additionally, a few of the story's components were not clearly connected in the book so that I could grasp the overall idea of the narrative. This led me to believe that the book was only meant for extremely patient readers.

I will give the book a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. Because there are so many grammatical mistakes, unnecessary profanities, and shoddy connections between some of the story's key points.

I recommend this book to everyone who likes mafia and thriller novels, especially if you enjoy reading about organised crime and crime families.
