In Bob O'Brien's captivating novel Khanjar, political intrigue, conspiracy, terrorism, and patriotism intertwine. The story follows Palestinian engineer Nasir "Paul" Shehadeh, seeking sponsorship in America for a clean water project funded by the Chinese.

While at Columbia University, his plans are disrupted by the bombing of Kensico Dam, drawing the attention of government agencies like the FBI, led by agents Bec and Musa. As the investigation unfolds, secrets come to light, and the story takes unexpected turns. Will Nasir achieve his goal amidst the web of deception? This book is a beautifully written tale of deception, offering a thrilling and thought-provoking read.

The book was thrilling to read, and the author succeeded in keeping me on the edge of my seat, eager to know what would happen next. I particularly admired the character of Bec, the dedicated agent whose role was crucial in the surprising discovery at the end. Paul Shehadeh's determination to achieve his goal was also commendable. The book not only entertained me but also shed light on certain hidden realities in the world. I found myself yearning for more of the action, suspense, and crime-fighting elements in literature. The author's skill in evoking emotions on paper deserves applause, as it truly brought the characters and their experiences to life.

The reason I do not dislike this book is that it skillfully combines captivating character development with suspenseful scenes. The well-crafted narrative kept me engaged and eager to discover what would happen next. I wholeheartedly recommend it to action and crime literature enthusiasts, as well as to students from various subject areas, including history, due to the valuable insights it offers. This book's ability to provide both entertainment and meaningful lessons is why I appreciate and enjoy it.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because the author's writing skill is truly remarkable and sets it apart from others in the same genre. It left a lasting impression on me, and I found myself deeply immersed in the story. This book has reaffirmed my passion for literature, and I couldn't help but give it the highest rating for its outstanding qualities. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free.
