Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren is a beautifully written story with a fascinating enemy-to-lovers storyline. It tells the story of Lucifer’s reaper who ultimately falls in love with an angel that he was sent to kill. I love the underlying message of the book. It is exploring the delicate balance of good versus evil.

My favorite part about the book was the perfect blend of human and supernatural characters it had. It was a great blend of fantasy and real human life. I liked how the demons and the angels displayed human emotions because it helped the characters to be more relatable while reading the story. It also helped to show that even powerful supernatural beings experience emotions of hesitation, sadness, and even love. I think the book was very well written and the plot kept me interested the entire time. I also really enjoyed the slow burn of their romance, and it was interesting to see how it was built throughout the book.

The only thing I did not like about the book was the brief explanation of how humans can catch supernatural beings. I thought it was too easy for humans to catch powerful beings and the book did not delve into much detail on how this is so easy for humans to accomplish. I would have liked to see a more in-depth background on how humans learned how to catch supernatural beings with such ease. It should also be noted that some scenes contain graphic violence and mild sexual content which may be upsetting to some readers.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I felt very satisfied with the plot after finishing the book. The book seems to be professionally well-edited, as there are no errors in the writing. There is also mild sexual content in the book, but it is not exotic. There are nonborderline mild profanities, but there is nothing explicitly offensive about the word choice.

I would recommend this book to any readers interested in the supernatural, fantasy, villains having a change of heart, and romance. Additionally, due to the graphic violence, mild sexual content, and profanity, I would recommend this book to adult readers.
