In the gripping science fiction book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom by Dorothy May Mercer, newlyweds Tom Turbulo and Kelly McBride take readers on an extraordinary adventure. While on their vacation in Honduras, Kelly discovers a frightening terrorist group and learns about their attack strategy against North America. Tom and Kelly must face the terrorists and discover the mysteries contained within a mystery gift shop with the assistance of Kelly's brother, Senator Mike McBride, and their will to defend their nation. This fast-paced narrative combines romance, suspense, and a race against the clock to avert a terrible situation.

This novel has such amazing character development, especially for Tom and Kelly, and I adore it to pieces. With their development and change throughout the novel, they come across as quite human and sympathetic. I developed a strong emotional connection to their path, challenges, and victories. These characters come to life and feel like friends thanks to the author's amazing ability to do so. It's fascinating to observe their growth and change throughout the novel. It's only one of the many reasons why I wholeheartedly urge others to read this book.

I must admit that this book's romantic component left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed. If you're looking for a satisfying love story, I wouldn't suggest reading it. Tom and Kelly's relationship seemed odd, and their honeymoon was unrealistically portrayed. During that special time, couples are normally intended to be together and connected, but in this instance, they appeared distant and out of sync. I felt that their relationship lacked depth and genuineness.

I appreciate the great character growth in this novel, especially for Tom and Kelly. They drew me in with their development and relatability, making them seem like true friends. The romance component let me down, though. Their honeymoon lacked genuineness, and the chemistry seemed awkward. I'll give it a score of 4 out of 5 stars, taking the romance out of the equation. Readers looking for gripping action and character-driven stories are advised. This book was exceptionally edited.
