Finn is a down on his luck recently released ex-con who is tasked with finding a former death row inmates daughter to convince her of her father's innocence. He tries to put the pieces of his life back together after getting out and to keep a promise that he made.

Chloe is a strong, independent woman who is just trying to live her dream and get from up under the black cloud that surrounds her due to who her father is and what he did. She has struggles and is trying to make ends meet. When an opportunity is presented she feels as though she has to take it.

Finn and Chloe meet and build a friendship and bond that turns into something a little more. Now, Finn has to come clean about why he is really around and hope that it doesn't ruin things. Chloe has somethings to come clean about as well and hope it doesn't jeopardize her business and the people around her. They both must learn to trust each other and help to find out the truth about her father.

This book was really well written and the story line flowed really well. This book has crime, drama, some religious references, and a little bit of romance to round it out. It seemed a little rushed half way through, but that didnt take away from any of the writing or make it any less of a good read. The character and places were described well and that helped make you feel like you were a part of the book.

The book keeps your interest. It does have some grammatical errors, but nothing that will keep you from enjoying the book. All in all I would give this book a 4 out of 5 rating. The reason only 4 out of 5 is due to the grammatical errors.
