Like my mother before me is a fiction novel, written by Naley Gonzalez. This book is about a girl named Alize, who live with her father and brother and also has an amazing friend. Alize lost her mother during a car accident. Alize was living a normal high school life until one day, she saw a female who looked like a skeleton, in her father’s office. Is Alize going crazy? Or what she was actually real?

The story of this book not only focuses on the supernatural elements of the story but also draws attention on how your inner demons i.e. negative thoughts affect you and your surrounding.

The character development and the relationships in this novel are amazing. I love the relationship Alize has with her brother Ezra, who is always there for her just like her godmother.

Though the story of this book was amazing and kept me hooked till the end, the book is not edited well and just because of that I give this book a 4 out of 5 rating.

I love the story of this book and I highly recommend it to all the fiction lovers.
