Do you believe in destiny? That it doesn't matter what choices you make, the result of your life will still be the same. Unyielding Destiny by Spiros Gratsias will have you considering your destiny. Frank lost his parents at a young age, and a gang leader adopted him. He pledged his allegiance to his new family and would do anything they ask. He almost lost his life on countless occasions, and he kept questioning himself as to why he survived. He survived the Korean War because someone sacrificed himself to save Frank. He survived escaping Alcatraz while his accomplices died. Why does he keep surviving? What is his destiny?

I got chills reading this book. For days, it kept me on edge wondering what would happen next. The author is a mastermind when it comes to creating an immersive and suspenseful plot. I could not put my finger on one thing I disliked about the book. The author went deep into the crime underworld, showing a reader what goes on. I felt sympathy toward some of the criminals, knowing that this wasn't the life they chose, but it was the one they were given. I think the main takeaway from this book is embracing our destiny and knowing we can never avoid it.

This book deserves a perfect rating. I will rate it 5 out of 5 stars because it was exceptionally well written. The editing was also well done, as I only found one minor error. This book is suitable for people who like reading hardcore crime and action thrillers. This book has themes of violence, crime, family drama, and war. Despite all the actions and crimes, the author found a way to appeal to our emotions. I can guarantee you that this book will have you in tears by the last chapter.
