Final Notice is a thrilling fictional book by Van Fleisher about death predictions, gun violence, and hate crimes, as well as the reason they are all connected.

One of the main characters, Vince Fuller, at 70, was not taking his retirement so well. The fact that he is of less importance to society took a toll on him and being physically harassed and not being able to fight back frustrated him even more. The encounter piqued his interest in gun ownership as a means of self-defense. Meanwhile, in another state, Vijay Patel, a math protégé from India, discovered a watch device that can predict one's death by blood or DNA analysis. The device was in its clinical stage, and the subjects selected were aged 65 and above. Soon incidents of gun violence began rising, and the culprits were either between the ages of 65 and 85 or had access to the VT2 watch. How do all these events connect? What prompted these shooters to act out? And how can these be put under control? These questions would get answered when you get a copy of the book.

The character development and presentation in this book were outstanding. The author delivered background stories without straying from the plot or making it complicated. The story also sheds more light on the gun issue in the US and its negative effects. It goes to show that gun ownership does not solve the increasing crime rate; rather, it makes it worse. This story's concept is unique and fascinating, and although it's fiction, I wondered what the world would be like if a device like the VT2 existed.

There was nothing I could dislike about Final Notice by Van Fleisher; the build-up from the inciting events to the story's climax was addictive. Once I started, I couldn't stop reading until I finished, and I was not disappointed.

I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The storyline was unique and very interesting, and even though it was fast-paced, there were no gaps or loose ends as the story was properly delivered. I also went through the editorial process of the book and found no errors. It was exceptionally edited.

I recommend this book to people who love crime and suspense novels. If you are looking for a fictional book with a unique perspective that is still relatable, then Final Notice is for you.
