In The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci, Belle Ami weaves an intriguing tale that combines historical fiction, romance, and mystery. The story follows Angela Renatus, an art historian, who is haunted by dreams of a love affair between Leonardo da Vinci and his muse, Fioretta. Her expertise in art history and her connection to the past through her dreams propel Angela into a race to find a lost da Vinci painting. As she delves deeper into the mystery, she discovers her own connection to the past and finds an unexpected love with Alex Caine, a gallery owner.

Belle Ami's skillful storytelling transports readers through various time periods, including Renaissance Italy and World War II Germany, creating an immersive experience. Her attention to detail and historical accuracy bring the settings to life, making it easy for readers to become fully engrossed in the story. The romance between Angela and Alex is engaging and believable, providing an emotional anchor for the reader as they follow the couple's journey to unravel the secrets of the past.

However, The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci does have its shortcomings. At times, the pacing feels uneven, with some parts of the story feeling drawn out while others seem rushed. Additionally, the dialogue can occasionally come across as stilted or awkward, which detracts from the overall flow of the narrative.

With its blend of history, romance, and mystery, I would give The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. It offers an entertaining and engaging read, but the pacing and dialogue issues prevent it from reaching its full potential.

I would recommend The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci to readers who enjoy historical fiction with a touch of romance and mystery. Fans of art history and da Vinci's works will appreciate the extensive research and detail that Belle Ami has put into the story. However, readers looking for a fast-paced thriller or those who prefer contemporary settings may not find this book as enjoyable.
