Terrorism is a topic that is often discussed in movies and the news. There are various motives behind terrorist attacks. In East Wind, 2nd Edition by Jack Winnick, the author portrays the outrageous attack by Islamic terrorists on American lands.

This book is an intense story narrating the fate of two countries through the eyes of a capable and daring young man named Uri and a lady computer brainiac named Lara. Winnick, an engineering professor with forty years of experience in chemical and nuclear engineering, has written this novel with incredible skill and understanding, instilling vast rivers of knowledge in every page, scene, and chapter. Despite being an action-packed novel, the author also addresses issues such as romance and friendship.

The story triggers a zeal in the readers to know the outcome of Khalid, a boy of sixteen years, heading down a pathway of uncertainty but with a strong sense of morality that he is going in the right direction. This scene evokes the question of whether his path is right, creating curiosity in the readers to discover what the future holds for him.

The book clarifies that Winnick spent much time and effort researching and writing this novel. The scenario is brought together by piecing together the numerous pieces of information concerning the FBI, CIA, past interactions with terrorists, etc. The transition between various characters' points of view can be rough and disjointed. Still, this novel works surprisingly effectively and provides readers with a viewpoint on the good and bad guys. The author deserves praise for the seamless transitions that make it work! Reading the entire book from the perspectives of the terrorists, Uri, Lara, and other characters may have been my favourite aspect of the book. I love books written from different perspectives. It gives an unusual depth to the book and shows the in-depth preparations done by the author.

This book receives a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The book contained no errors, and it was exceptionally well-edited. I gave this book five stars because I enjoyed it and thought it was one of my favourite reads this year. I don't have any issues with this book. The plot captivated me, and the detail it contained amazed me.

I urge fans of crime fiction and detective stories to read this book. Due to the numerous violent words and references to sex, children should avoid reading this book. The book was enjoyable to read. This book would also appeal to people who enjoy reading spy novels and political fiction. The vulgarity, violent situations, and sexual themes in this novel make it inappropriate for a young audience.
